The February meeting was held at Carol and Dennis’ house on February 27, 2010.  We played Pekeno and all were able to “steal” form each other.  The following items were covered at the meeting.

Meetings and Rides:

  • The March meeting will be held on the 21st during lunch of the Concealed Handgun class.  The cost of the class is $99.  The cost of the license is $150.  The class will start at 9:00am and finish at around 8:00pm.  If you are going to take the class please let Carol know.  If you are not going to take the class we will be having lunch at around noon.
  • We still need ride ideas.  Everyone needs to send two different ride ideas to Wendy or Carol. This year’s rides will be chosen from the rides that are sent in. Some ideas so far are a day ride to a Lavender Farm and an overnighter to the Talimena Parkway.
  • The Spring Overnighter will be a visit to the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge outside of Medicine Park, Oklahoma on April 17 – 18th.  We will be leaving from Carol’s house at 7:00am on April 17th.  If you would like to spend Friday at Carol’s, please let her know.  There is plenty of room.  We will be staying at the LaQunita Inn at 1408 North 40th St, Lawton, OK.  The phone number is 1-580-355-6800.  Please let Carol know if you want to go.  She is going to reserve a block of rooms.  We will have the opportunity to visit sites including Chaps My Ass and Medicine Park Tavern.
  • Red Cross will be coming to a Chic meeting near you!  We will be holding a CPR/First Aid class. We will be able to find out more information in March or April.

Charity Work

  • Luanne is working on a firm date for Habitat for Humanity. Please let her or Carol know if you would like to participate.

Treasures Report

  • We have $83.00.  We added $10.00 from the Pekeno pot.   If anyone would like to contribute throughout the year let Diane know.
