The January meeting was held at 5:00 pm January 28th 2012 at the home of Mickie Casey.

Meetings and Rides:

  • Bling Bling Chapter will adopt and adhere to the same By-Laws followed by Women on Wheels International.

  • All Elected officers of the chapter will service a maximum of 2 years in their elected position. Co-Director will take over as Director; Treasurer will take over as Co-Director. Elections will be held in August beginning this year. If the incoming officers feel they will be unable to fulfill their duties a vote will be taken to fill these positions.

  • Creatde new chapter positions of Web Master, Ride Coordinator and Special Projects Chair. Special Projects will be responsible for finding a worthy charity that the chapter will support. We will be discussing/voting on who will fill the position at the Feburary meeting.

  • Chain of Command: Mickie discussed the importance in Following a Chain of Command which is crucial when grievances arise. The first point of Contact is the Chapter Director. If the grievance is with the Director, the Co-Director shall be contacted. The State Ambassador will be the third point of contact. WOW takes all grievances seriously and following protocol is mandatory to resolve the issue correctly.

  • BlingBling chapter has adopted the last Saturday of each month as the permanent meeting day (times and location and activity to be determined).

  • House pets:  If you volunteer to hold a meeting at your home you are required to inform the attending members of any pet you may have. All pets are to be secured and not allowed to interact with meeting members. This is for you safety.

  • Children: If you bring a minor (for whom you are not the guardian) to a ride you must provide a Power Of Attorney to the Chapter Director before you and your attending minor are allowed to participate.

  • 2012 Ride In: Plans are being made at this time for the trip to Greenville, South Carolina for the 2012 WOW Ride In. Please contact Mickie if you want to ride with the group.

  • Missouri Rally: This is the first week in June. Contact Mickie for more information.

  • Membership

    • All are encouraged to promote and recruit membership for WOW. Because of the size of our state, the idea has been broached to split the State of Texas in half.
    • You can be a member of multiple chapters, but you only have voting rights in your home base.

Charity Work

  • Will be working with the Special project chair to determine the charities we will support

Treasures Report

  • We have $164.00.  If anyone would like to contribute throughout the year let Lou Ann know.
